I know that a lot of the people reading this blog share concern for all animal welfare, not only that of the parrot-like. This appeal appeared on the Parrot-Link forum today and I thought I would repost it here for anyone interested in offering some of these poor little girls a home.

Just had an email through that 10,000 hens need re-homing from a battery farm in Norfolk which is closing down. If anyone can offer homes then please contact Little Red Hen Rescue. Also found this link on google: Sky News
Any not rehomed by the 28th June will be slaughtered.

Hope all these girls find homes, yet another disgusting example of cruelty. I hope this highlights the reality of where your eggs come from, for those that do not know or choose to ignore. If you can sit back and watch this and still buy cheap eggs, then shame on you.
ReplyDeletesilentshout, some people dont know reality if it hit them smack in the face.bet half of them dont know what happens out in that big world regards the cruelty to the animals,just for there food for them to eat.
