Jay, thanks for the reply.

I find it sad that there is so much arguing going on here..!!! Surely the most importtant thing here is the PARROTS WELFARE..??? Macaws are the closest thing to my heart and it breaks my heart to know that two birds are seperate and pining because the very people who have saved them once now cant sort out their differences....so so sad

Adele,

I most certainly didn't want it to come to this either and can't believe the high handed attitude taken and my emergency care of Mylo and JJ being withdrawn simply because I questioned whether they would be getting a suitable cage as promised!!!!!!

Yesterday evening, it was unanimous that here, with me was the best place for these two birds and now suddenly today, because I have questioned the cage issue they are better off where they came from????

Go figure????!!!!!!!!!!

I understand that people have been trying to call Caron. She doesn't have her phone but if anyone would like to speak to me then please PM for my number.

I can't believe all this.

Adele - when you were first diagnosed with alveolitis, you posted on this thread -

due to personal reasons mylo and jj have had to go back into my spare bedroom again, which isnt really nice for them as they have got used to household living

so its now more important than ever to find them their new mummy/daddy

Now you are trying to get them back into the spare bedroom just to spite Caron for querying a cage that she was promised??? Where is the welfare of the birds? Even Jay apparently remarked that Mylo was a different bird with Caron, much happier and more relaxed. It is nothing to me either way, whoever gets the birds it will not affect me, but their future must be governed by what is in THEIR best interests, not by who wants to score points. Proper prior arrangements should have been made for the proper transportation of these birds in proper macaw-sized travel cages. I can't believe this was not done by a 'professional' rescue. It might also have been the case that since you, Adele, had to collect your parents from the airport as well as get the birds ready for transport, and Jay was due to arrive, all within a small timescale, perhaps you were getting fraught and this could have been transferred to the birds. This may be why they were skittish and started fighting.

As I stated before, I am not taking sides here but if Caron was the best home yesterday what has changed now..??? (No offence Adele ) This is starting to all sound too much like BirdLine for my liking. Please someone put their own personal feelings aside and do whats right for these poor Macaws, their future happiness is at stake here

no pauline im just worried about them been apart

its not to spite caron i think she will be the ideal home for them,i really do ..

i agree i was rushed so they both proberly picked up on that,so maybe that sent them off,
but mylo would be a differnt bird after 3 hrs traveling,
to say i stated i have no confidence with macws, just look on my photbucket?

and ask jay?
at the end of the day i dont have to justify myself to anyone i love mylo and jj and did my best for them ....
