Please help us

Please help us compile a clearer picture of the dark side of UKPR by supplying us with any information that you have that can help expose them for what they are, and to warn future innocent unsuspecting pet owners who are looking to re-home their birds about the dangers of what happens to them once they are in the posession of UK Parrot Rescue.

For example the info needed will be:

1. Any stories of injured or sick birds not recieving the appropriate treatment

2. Names of birds that have been given to UKPR and ended up with breeders including breeder names

3. Personal accounts of UKPR's dishonest or questionable activities

4.
Personal accounts of intimidation by UKPR

Please email us with your stories which will be treated with the strictest confidence.

  1. Cry I could not sleep all night as I have just caught up with what is going on, POOR MYLO AND JJ. I am not going to get into the argument or comment in any way except to say.

IS THERE NOT SOMEWHERE INDEPENDANT FROM BOTH SIDES THAT THESE TWO BIRDS CAN BE RECONCILED, THEY ARE A BONDED PAIR AND WHAT EVER IS GOING ON THEY SHOULD BE TOGETHER. PLEASE PLEASE TRY TO FIND A INDEPENDENT MEDIATOR TO RE-UNITE THESE TWO BIRDS, THIS IS THE MAIN ISSUE HERE, INADVERTANTLY ANIMAL LOVERS ARE CAUSING THEM PAIN AND STRESS, WHEN IN THERE LIVES THEY HAVE SUFFERED ENOUGH. I BEG YOU AND WILL POST ON THE OTHER SITE , THE SAME MESSAGE, USE SOMEONE INDEPENDENT AND REUNITE MYLO AND JJ NOW !!!!!!

  2. This is already in hand Jacksan, I have very well known and reputable rescuer who is willing to take Mylo and JJ into their possession so that this bonded pair can be re-united whilst the RSPCA conduct their investigation.

JJ and Mylos welfare is what is paramount in all of this, and them being re-united is top priority, but not re-united in UKPR hands.

Then let the relevant authorities decide what is best for the two birds.

  3. That would be brilliant thats what we all want the two of them re-united, "what ever side your on" but is this "foster carer" independent?
"one side" will have to "give" for the sake of Mylo and JJ, then all the other issues can be dealt with.
Surely the RSPCA or RSPB can find an independent placement.

  4. This has only been about JJ and Mylo from the very beggining, not for their ownership, that is why we have arranged for an independant 3rd party carer to take custody of both birds so they can be back together.

We are liaising with the RSPCA on this matter as we speak.

  5. Brilliant hope they are re-united soon

  6. I think for the well being of JJ and Mylo that that is what everybody wants.

Is Vikky going to now relinquish custody of JJ until this is all sorted out though, or will he need to be impounded by the RSPCA?

    That is now the question!

  10. mick-sue.fisher... Exactly! An existing UNTREATED condition that poor Mylo was allowed to suffer with for the six months he was in UKPR's care.

I have replicated here, a post Vikky has made on her blog, in order to address her points for all to read as any response I make there will be deleted,.

No Alan, wasnt it the fact that you were finding offers of a suitable home for JJ and Mylo werent forthcoming, which is why Caron was approached?

Not an easy job suitably re-homing 2 large boisterous noisy pet Macaws is it?

yes, that is correct,as a last resort, caron was always considered second fiddle to adele as she had been their carer for 6 months and they had settled so well, she has done such a fantastic job with them, who in their right mind would consider themselves after being a carer for 1 half of a bonded pair for les than 24hrs as being the best possible home for them? you made mylo sick by subjecting him to the very substances he is allergic to,substances i might add you knew he had an allergy too, this in my eyes makes you neglegent, then to cover yourself, tried to make it look like we had sent him to you at deaths door, the reason mylo is being clingy is because he misses JJ so much***

    ..............

Vikky states that 'Caron was a last resort'.. Please people, read the deleted UKPR thread. I was, as a supporter commented earlier, "crapping diamonds" as Mylo and JJ's new home until I dared to question Vikky over a trivial matter on her forum.

Surely it wasn't ME who considered myself to be the best carer but Vikky herself, who so conscientously puts 'the bird's welfare first and foremost when placing them in a carers hands' SHE decided I was the best carer, not me.

Vikky alleges that I caused Mylo to have an allergic reaction to substances I was aware he was sensitive to. Firstly, no mention has EVER been made to me of any special cautionary requirements over and above those of ANY bird that Mylo may have. ANOTHER BLATANT LIE!

Furthermore she alleges that I have fabricated Mylo's condition to 'cover myself'... This allegation will be squarely refuted by the vet's findings.

As a final aside she mentions that Mylo is 'missing JJ so much'... I would ask her.. WHO was it separated them Vikky?

  12. its not the nps or as it is know now npz is it.

  13. mick-sue.fisher the offer is very kind but I fear it won't be construed as 'impartial' by UKPR were JJ and Mylo to come to you?

The NPS most certainly isn't the third party in mind, it is someone who has known of JJ and Mylo's plight from the very beginning and watched them fall into the hands of UKPR.

  14. i am so glad hope they will get together again.up to vicki now int it.if you are looking at this vicki put the back as a pair and swallow yer pride please.

  15. Agreed mick-sue-fisher, and if you read through the 'infamous removed thread' you will see that it is Vikky's pride, over JJ and Mylos well being, that has placed everybody in this position now.
