So why is there now an argument over the emergency care of these two birds now? With you now wanting to adopt them?
If the pair are best off with Caron, then shouldnt they both be here together with their Pallace cage?

Then please Adele, if you really love these birds - please agree that JJ should go join her mate with Caron.......who will NOT have to relegate them to a spare bedroom. You would earn everyone's respect for doing the best thing for the birds.

Adele, i have followed this thread all the way through and have to take my hat off to you for all the hard work you have put into these birds, you have a done a truly amazing job with them,. Just look at them now....you should be so proud, you really should.
No-one would think you would do anything just to spite someone else, I think thats a daft thing to think. You love these birds dearly and it shows, ALOT. But surely Caron can, in the long run, provide them with what they need..?? I wont say a better home as such but one that is more equopped to deal with their needs long term.

the fact of the matter is this.........adele regrets letting mylo go and wants mylo returned to her and JJ,ok........so instead of calling it a spare room,we will call it a birdroom? what is the difference? it will be a room dedicated to them in which they can have 24/7 freedom.......and they will get just as much attention as they would at carons.. i find this very upsetting to think that you are suggesting you are doing what you are doing for the sake of the birds,no-one has ever suggested caron wouldnt make a good home,the fact of the matter is,adele misses mylo terribly and wants to keep them full time,you are not just punishing adele,you are also punishing mylo and JJ...... how can you justify that.... and we never seperated them atall,as they were destined to be reunited in a weeks time....you however have chosen to distress them by making it permanent.....surely to stay with the carer have they known and lived with for 6 months is the best possible outcome we could have hoped for? cmon guys see sense ffs

Surely your health is more important than trying to hold onto 2 birds. You have a son to consider. If you realise how serious alveolitis is then that should be your first consideration.
These birds will be better off with Caron - the sooner you realise that the better.

This argument was not embraced in the matter of Oscar the mealy!
Although I do in principle agree that in fact e/c should have first refusal of the birds they are caring for, rather than being banned from taking them on, in this case I am very concerned because Adele herself said AT THE TIME, not with rosy-tinted hindgight, that she didn't want them kept upstairs in the back bedroom/birdroom/whatever because 'they had become used to household living'.

Right come on this is now totaly out of hand.
The fact of the matter is... A bonded pair of birds have been seperated, FFS stop fighting over a sodding cage. The cage isnt the real issue here. Holding Mylo and saying that unless JJ is handed over to you along with the cage and refusing to let him go back to where he was happy and I am sorry there is no can be no doubt in anyones mind that he was, I think is just plain wrong.

I have been an outside observer with Caron and her waiting to take into care these two troubled Macaws so I have my view on things.
This last post of yours just highlights what is at the core of this predicament.
Your unwillingness to accept that you are wrong, that your argument about the future care and well being of these birds is flawed, and that JJ and Mylos welfare is secondary to your human pride. You just will not accept you are wrong no matter what, which shows ultimately that you do not care about these birds, only your pride.
You remind me of a Captain of a sinking ship, who just will not accept its sinking, and ends up drowning instead of accepting the truth. I hope that that is not a real analogy for UKPR because after watching peoples love of birds it would be a great shame.
This whole situation has started because Caron questioned about the Pallace cage which was supposed to be for the birds in the first place, and has ended up with you now wanting the birds back. Any one with an ounce of intelligence can go back over this thread and see what has brought this situation about.

But you now state that Adele cannot live without the birds, which was not the reason for this contentious issue, so when you say “come on people see sense ffs”, I say exactly the same.
JJ and Mylo have needed a good home because of Adele’s initial reasons for putting them into emergency care, let’s not skirt around the truth. It was decided Caron would be the best and most suitable person for a foster home for them and she accepted willingly because she has a passion for the welfare of all birds. Mylo then arrived yesterday alone, with everything surrounding his arrival is on this thread for people to read.
Now you state Adele wants the birds back with all the reasons stated in your last post.
But in reality do you not mean, you are extremely offended with being challenged so would rather anything other than Caron take care of these two birds now?
I have only watched this situation with JJ and Mylo, the Pallace cage, and the little finch and what I have seen is criminal.
How many more people have experienced similar experiences from you at UKPR?
If people lifted up the carpet what would they find?
Please take this as a wake up call for you to get your house in order for the sake of your desire for Parrot rescue, if not I can envision this all coming tumbling down around you.

You now have a choice; do what is best for JJ and Mylo or fight this to the dying end, and believe me you will not win based on what I have observed so far. It was arranged for JJ to be brought here next weekend to be with Mylo, and within a morning this has all changed. Read the thread people to see why!!
As Macawmad has stated and I personally agree, Adele has done an exceptional job with the two birds over the past 6 months but has stated for several valid reasons that she cannot keep them, that’s why they are supposed to be here. But you now state the complete opposite???
Can you see what I am saying?
